Curriculum Vitae (italiano)

Nato a Bari nel 1983, ha conseguito presso il Politecnico di Bari la laurea triennale in Ing. Meccanica nel 2005 con una tesi dal titolo “Visualizzazione ed analisi di dati CFD 3D”. Presso lo stesso Politecnico, nel 2007 ha conseguito la laurea specialistica in Ing. Meccanica contemporaneamente al Master in Thermal Power (Aerospace Propulsion Option) presso la Cranfield University, UK, nell’ambito del progetto “Double Degree”, con una tesi dal titolo “A Variable Fan Nozzle Area Engine Design, Optimization and 3D-CFD Airframe Integration”. E’ stato studente del corso di Dottorato di Ingegneria delle Macchine del XXIII ciclo (2008-2010), conseguendo il titolo con una tesi dal titolo “Contributions to the Development of Renewable, Efficient, Sustainable Energy Systems”. Assegnista di Ricerca dal Gennaio 2011e docente del corso di Propulsione Aerospaziale dell’a. a. 2010-2011. Attualmente, si occupa in prevalenza di ottimizzazione applicata alle turbine eoliche ed ai sistemi a fluido in genere.

Ha partecipato a corsi per dottorandi in Danimarca e Belgio ed a numerose conferenze internazionali. E’ membro ASME e dell’IGTI (International Gas Turbine Institute) Wind Turbine Committee, revisore di pubblicazioni (paper peer reviewer) per l’ASME Turbo Expo Conference e per l’International Conference on Applied Energy (ICAE); vincitore del premio ASME “Young Engineer Travel Award” 2011.

Curriculum Vitae (English)

Born in Bari (Italy), in 1983, received his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Polytechnic University of Bari in 2005. He received his Master Degree both at Polytechnic University of Bari (Mechanical Engineering) and at Cranfield University, UK (Thermal Power with Aerospace Propulsion Option), in 2007, within the “Double Degree” program. He started the Ph. D. again at Polytechnic University of Bari in 2008, and discussed his thesis “Contributions to the Development of Renewable, Efficient, Sustainable Energy Systems” in March 2011. He was the lecturer of the “Aerospace Propulsion” course in its university in 2011 and currently has a research contract. His research is now mainly focused on energy systems optimization, particularly of horizontal axis wind turbines.

He attended two Summer School in Denmark and Belgium and several international conferences. He is an ASME member and IGTI (International Gas Turbine Institute) Wind Turbine Committee member, paper peer reviewer for the ASME Turbo Expo conference and the International Conference on Applied Energy (ICAE). He won the ASME “Young Engineer Travel Award” in 2011.
