Curriculum Vitae (italiano)

Il prof. Giuseppe Monno nel corso della trentennale carriera universitaria si è interessato inizialmente, in qualità di P.A. del S.S.D. ING-IND/14 allo sviluppo e applicazione di tecniche avanzate di progettazione nel campo dell'ingegneria meccanica. Analisi di strutture e di singoli componenti sono state effettuate con tecniche numeriche (FEM e BEM), sperimentali (fotoelastimetria, estensimetria) ed analitiche. Successivamente, in seguito al passaggio al S.S.D. ING-IND/15 il suo interesse scientifico si è rivolto verso le seguenti aree: Computer Aided Design (CAD) e Computer Aided Geometric Design (CAGD) ed in particolare: Realtà Virtuale, Reverse Engineering ed applicazioni di Digital Cultural Heritage. Egli ha prodotto circa 60 lavori scientifici pubblicati su riviste internazionali, nazionali e negli atti di congressi nazionali ed internazionali. E' stato membro dei Comitati di Consulenza del CNR per le Biotecnologie e la Biologia Molecolare e per le Scienze di Ingegneria e della Architettura. Dal 2006 è Presidente del Consiglio Unitario di Classe di Ingegneria Industriale (corsi di laurea e laurea magistrale in Ing. Meccanica, Gestionale ed Elettrica) del Politecnico di Bari e dal 2008 è Presidente della giunta dei docenti del SSD ING-IND-15.

 

Curriculum Vitae (English)

Monno has been involved in the last 30 years in academic research projects regarding firstly, as former associate professor in scientific sector ING-IND/14, innovative techniques for mechanical design. He applied numerical methods (FEM & BEM), experimental (fotoelastic and strain gauges techniques) and analytical ones to structure and component analysis. Later, as full professor in scientific sector ING-IND/15, he moved his field of interest in different sectors of the Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Geometric Design (CAGD) and particularly: Virtual reality, Reverse Engineering and applications of Digital Cultural Heritage. He was the author of more that 60 papers published in international and national journals and proceedings of conferences. He has been member of consulting committees of CNR for Engineering and Architecture Sciences, for Biotechnologies and Molecular Biology. Since 2006 he is President of the "Consiglio Unitario di Classe" of Industrial engineering at Politecnico di Bari (First and Second Level Degree of Mechanical, Management and Electrical Engineering). Since 2008 he is president of the Group of Italian Professor in Scientific Sector ING-IND-15.
