Prof. Roberto SPINA

 

Curriculum Vitae (italiano)

Roberto SPINA è un Professore Associato confermato in "Tecnologia e Sistemi di Lavorazione" presso Politecnico di Bari dal Settembre 1999. Nato a San Paolo (Brasile) il 19/07/1970, si è laureato in Ingegneria Meccanica nel 1996 presso il Politecnico di Bari ed ha conseguito il Titolo Dottore di Ricerca in Ingegneria Industriale nel 2000 presso il Politecnico di Bari. Ricopre gli Insegnamenti di “Sistemi Integrati di Produzione” (Laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Gestionale) e “Progettazione dei Processi Produttivi” (Laurea in Ingegneria Gestionale).

Svolge le sue attività di ricerca nel settore dei sistemi di produzione fin dal 1996. Durante le sue attività di ricerca, ha pubblicato più di 70 memorie in riviste nazionali ed internazionali con referee, libri e conferenze, i cui argomenti, sono basati su approcci teorici, numerici e sperimentali. Le sua attività di ricerca su concentra sulle tematiche relative alle lavorazioni laser, tecnologie di trasformazione dei materiali polimerici, stampaggio ad iniezione di termoplastici, ottimizzazione, pianificazione e programmazione dei sistemi di produzione.

Attualmente è responsabile scientifico del PIMLB (http://pimlab.poliba.it), laboratorio dedito allo stampaggio dei materiali termoplastici e delle polveri metalliche, situato presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Meccanica e Gestionale.

È membro di The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), Istituto di Fotonica e Nanotecnologie (CNR-IFN), Associazione Italiana di Tecnologie Meccanica (AITEM), Centro di Meccanica Computazionale (CEMeC) del Politecnico di Bari.

È revisore delle seguenti riviste: Computer & Industrial Engineering (Elsevier), J. of Materials Processing Technology (Elsevier), Materials & Design (Elsevier), Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part B, J. of Engineering Manufacture and Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part D, J. of Automobile Engineering (Professional Engineering Publishing).

Dal punto di vista istituzionale è Componente della Commissione Scientifica di Ingegneria Industriale ed Informazione, Membro del collegio dei docenti del dottorato in “Sistemi Avanzati di Produzione”.

Curriculum Vitae (English)

Roberto SPINA is a Professor in "Manufacturing Systems and Technology" at Politecnico di Bari since September 1999. Born in San Paulo (Brazil), the 19/07/1970, he graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Bari in 1996 and received is Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Bari in 2000. He is lecturer of “Design of Manufacturing Systems” (BSc in Industrial Engineering) and “Integrated Manufacturing Systems” (MSc in Industrial Engineering).

He carried out research in the fields of experimental and numerical analyses of manufacturing processes and systems from 1996. During his research activities, he published more than 70 papers, published on international journals, books and conferences, mainly based on theoretical and numerical/experimental approaches. His current research areas are related to Laser Material processing, Plastic and Metal Injection Moulding, Optimisation of Manufacturing Processes and Systems, Planning and Scheduling.

He is actually the scientific responsible of the PIMLAB (http://pimlab.poliba.it), laboratory devoted to injection moulding of thermoplastic materials and metal powder and located at Dept. of Mechanical and Management Engineering.

He is actually member of The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), Institute of Photonics and Nanotechnologies (CNR-IFN), Italian Association of Manufacturing Technicians (AITEM), Computational Mechanics Centre (CEMeC) of Politecnico di Bari.

He acts as referee for Computer & Industrial Engineering (Elsevier), J. of Materials Processing Technology (Elsevier), Materials & Design (Elsevier), Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part B, J. of Engineering Manufacture and Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part D, J. of Automobile Engineering (Professional Engineering Publishing).

From institutional point of view, he is member of the Scientific Committee of Industrial and Information Engineering of Politecnico di Bari and member of Scientific Board of PhD courses.
